The colorful yarn used in these bags and scarves has a history! It is 100% silk collected from recycled saris. No two can ever be alike! We'll do our best to send you the type you like best, so let us know if you prefer bright colors, muted colors, fuzzier or less so.

Hemp yarn is used in many ways in Nepal. Much like cotton, its fibers are durable & strong and it is often easily grown as a single-farmer crop. We find that our hemp-fiber purses last a long time in hard use!
